Welcome to the world of Seumas B, the Viking Scotsman from the landlocked island beyond the Highlands that is Caithness.

The Vikings first visited the North of Scotland hundreds of years ago and their legacy is around for all to see, as in the place names in the county such as Thurso and Wick.

Seumas is dedicated to bringing you music for all tastes but in particular Celtic, Scottish and Folk. He also has a range of musical instruments and you can see him attempting to play them, but I suspect you could play them better.

We in the north of Scotland are proud of our musical heritage, we like to think that the likes of Seumas and the influence his people have had on the area kind of puts an edge on things.. With that in mind Seumas has decided to periodically feature a local band or solo artist on his website. He is proud to offer as his first feature band, 'emptyhouse'.

Sally Edwards and Katrina Scott - two of the North of Scotland’s finest and most original folk performers, with blues-influenced guitarist Charlie McIntosh are ‘emptyhouse’. With familiar tunes that reflect the North’s past ‘human’ turbulent history, they deliver music with passion and a fresh voice to stir the imagination and pull at the heart. A people and time that are ‘gone but not forgotten’.
